How to apply for an English programme?

Are you completing (or have completed) your secondary education in Flanders or the Netherlands?

Candidates who meet the general diploma requirements are admitted to the English bachelor programmes. Find all info about registration here.

Are you completing (or have completed) your secondary education elsewhere?

Make sure you make it on time:

Deadline for NON-EEA FALL 23/24: 05/06/2023 (payment deadline 19/06/2023). Fall intake is now closed.
Opening SPRING 23/24: 07/10/2023 (deadline for NON-EEA: 22/11/2023. Payment deadline 04/12/2023)

There are no deadlines for EEA candidates (do note that some of our postgraduate programmes have a limited amount of students, check the postgraduate page to find out more).

Applying for Spring 23/24 :

If you already wish to apply for Spring 23/24 (start February 2024), please fill in this notification form. You will then be notified once Spring applications open up.

Applying for Fall 24/25 :

If you already wish to apply for Fall 24/25 (start September 2024), please fill in this notification form. You will then be notified once Fall applications open up.

Applying for Fall 23/24, before your start (only for EEA candidates or NON EEA candidates that already reside in Belgium):

What happens next?

After having submitted your application through the online application platform, our admissions team will assess your file*. If anything is missing, we will notify you. This can take up to 2 weeks. Please be patient.

You are an EEA-national or you have a valid Belgian residence permit

Once your file has been approved, you will receive a letter of admission.
Admissions will notify you once registration opens up. You can then finalize your registration. Welcome at Thomas More!

You are a NON-EEA national in need of a student visa

Once your file has been approved you will receive a request to pay:
- For bachelors: the semester tuition fee and proof your financial solvability through blocked account.
- For postgraduates: you will need to pay the total tuition fee.
- If you fail to enrol (e.g. cancellation, visa refusal) the semester tuition fee and the blocked account payment (minus 250€ administrative fee) will be refunded.
Both conditions (tuition fee and proof of financial solvability) must be met before we can proceed.
Once our financial department confirms your payment, you will receive your registration certificate and financial attestation. Both documents are needed for your student visa application.
Admissions will notify you once registration opens up. You can then finalize your registration (non-EEA students will need to upload their student visa before being able to register. Deadline for uploading the student visa: 6th of October). Welcome at Thomas More!

*We do not require an application fee.
